Carlile Patchen & Murphy

Carline Patchen & Murphy (CPM) is a Columbus, Ohio law firm specializing in complex areas such as Business Law, Family Law, and Litigation. For over 50 years they’ve provided businesses, families, and individuals with an experienced legal team focused on protecting the assets most important to their clients.

Operating with an outdated brand, we kicked things off by discussing the history and current communication strategy with the firm's Marketing Team. After absorbing the brand’s foundation, I provided a refreshed logo and organized their updated communication strategies to serve as a valuable resource to the firm as it continues its growth.

With the updated brand strategy rolled out, I then created an extensive information architecture that organized CPM’s large content database. This was combined with detailed user flows which examined the different paths visitors would take to find content relevant to their legal situation.

After a communication strategy and information architecture were established, I then developed interactive wireframes that identified the layout of each webpage. These wireframes were presented to users across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices – allowing us to optimize conversion paths.

Once we had fully tested the interactive wireframes, and ensured each user flow was efficiently served, I created a unique user experience that modernizes the search for legal help. Complete with videos, animations, and iconography, the site provides an easy-to-use experience for users in the toughest of times.

To expand the new user experience design, I worked further with the CPM Marketing Team to develop automated marketing campaigns for both new and existing customers. These campaigns utilized direct mail, responsive emails, and custom landing pages that produced a unified experience that engaged various audience markets.
